In conjunction with the above we have our own Clarence Court code of practice which encompasses:
- A vaccination programme
- Traceability of product, poultry & feed.
- Registration of all licensees together with the listing of associated hatcheries, rearing & laying farms.
- Independent audit of all hatcheries, feed mills, pullet rearing and laying farms.
- Independent audit of all packing centres.
- Feed produced to the standard required by the UKASTA Feed Assurance Scheme (UFAS).
- Assurance of product quality by the use of modern packing centre technology.
- Eggs date coded for guaranteed freshness.
- Eggs printed with the Crown logo.
- Welfare provisions in advanced of those required by law.
- Environmental policies.
