3. Why do Clarence Court eggs cost more than other free-range eggs?

There are two important points here that our customers should know:
Firstly, free range eggs are a very low cost food; in fact they cost less now than they did back in the 1970's. It is interesting to make a comparison with confectionary - a large bar of chocolate can cost the same as six free range eggs - one is unhealthy for you, and the other provides a nutritious meal for six people!

Secondly, Clarence Court eggs cost much more to produce than ordinary hybrid hens eggs that are mass produced. We keep and maintain our own breeding flocks therefore a lot of time and effort is put into rearing and keeping our birds, they eat more than hybrids, and they only lay about two thirds of the number of eggs.
